Why is Zoom Worship important?

This Sunday we’re going back to the most safe option of distance-worship from our homes. (That means no drive-in option.)

I know it’s kind of a bummer, but we were not able to keep safe social distance during the drive-in church.

We are being SUPER CAUTIOUS with this whole COVID pandemic thing. It’s not something to mess around with. We love you guys, and keeping you and our community safe is one of the best ways to show Jesus’ love right now. ❤️

SO!
Join us via Zoom from your home (or while traveling or at your campsite 🏕️ or on your front porch) at 10am Sunday. 🖥️

Make it fun! Invite your friends. Share some snacks & brew some coffee. 🍩☕ Bake a fresh loaf of bread to serve for communion.🍞  (Here’s my favorite bread recipe.)

Then, I invite you to participate with us in worship. Join us at monroefmc.com/sunday (This link includes songs, scriptures, art, and details for phoning in or joining the zoom call.)

“Ok, Pastor Mel, but what makes Zoom Worship so important?” Why is Zoom Church our best option in these unprecedented times?

Participation! Worship is participatory. Liturgy is about a community of people working together to worship God.

It’s not a performance.🚫 It’s not even about how much any of us “get out of” the sermon or the music.

It’s about us showing up togetherZoom Worship allows us to hear from each other, to see each other, to pray for each other.👂👀💬

Please, for the sake of our community’s spiritual formation, show up and worship with us.
